Probate and Wills

Probate and WillsUpon the death of a loved one, you may need to hire an attorney to probate the estate. The survivorship property or payable upon death accounts pass without the consent of the Probate Court. Anything that is titled in the name of the decedent alone must go through Probate. There are various forms of Probate depending on the size of the estate. Fees are based also on the size of the estate.

The importance of Wills and other legal documents cannot be over-stressed. In any given case, the most important document you possess might be Power of Attorney for a spouse, or a Living Will or a Power of Attorney for Health Care. All of these documents are considered when we draft Wills.
